Soup's on!

What a day!  When I first came up with this idea, I had no idea what to expect.   I thought it would be great to meet some of the people I only get to to communicate with over this anonymous thing we call the Internet.  It took a little convincing of Mrs. Soup, but soon she agreed to let me give it a go.  All the way up to the point when the first bikes started to rumble through our quite neighborhood, a little apprehension was felt by my entire family.  Did we do the right thing... inviting total strangers into our house to eat soup and have an afternoon of socializing?  Soon we knew the answer.  And that was an overwhelming YES!

For those of you who couldn't make it, you missed out on Hamburgers, Brats, Chili, Cream of Chicken Dumpling Soup, Potato/Ham Soup, and Wild Boar Soup.  We washed all of that down with some cool beverages and good conversation.

Following are some pictures of the days activities.

Here's the bikes that showed up in my driveway.  It's always great looking at other people's bikes planning which new piece of chrome or accessory will soon be on your bike.
