Simplex Animals Echolink Node

Echolink is free software that allows Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using voice-over-IP (VoIP) technology. The Simplex Animals currently operate an Echolink node located in the West Los Angeles area of Southern California on 223.420 MHz. Animals that reside beyond simplex operating range can communicate with the main group from anywhere, by using the Echolink program along with their computerís microphone and speakers. The Echolink program controls a radio transceiver via the internet, allowing the remote users to speak with, and listen to, Animals in West Los Angeles. Our system became operational on 4/16/2004 and was an instant success. Stop by and say hi on NX6O-L !
