Dec 15, 2003

I've gone over to the dark side.  No, not that dark side - I played Evercrack.

Dec 11, 2003 - Monkeys!

The famous Monkey List - started back when Sitel had the "fajita" contract (I can't tell you what stock trading company that was, due to a non-disclosure thingy).  It has been through many servers and variations.  For the most part it is simply a social list, to announce happy hours, going out dancing, interesting dinners - and just to have fun.  I'm trying to start it up again.  Sign me up!

Dec 10, 2003 - Snow

We now have snow.  Not a whole lot of snow, the cleanup on the driveway was pretty quick.  It will probably melt next week, so a White Xmas isn't a sure thing.  It was enough to get me stuck on the way to work.  I was 3 blocks from the Capitol when I stopped on a section of ice.  Thankfully the guy behind me was willing to push a bit with his car (then he got stuck on the ice).

Dec 8, 2003 - Rethuglicans?

Got a survey from ReligiousRight National Committee today.  I hope this isn't how they plan their platform.  'Do you support W's plan to make the world safe?'  ... is that kind of like 'Is your marriage better since you stopped beating your spouse?'  (but I wasn't beating anyone)...

I want a safe world, but I don't think W has had a positive effect.  My guess is that W will be remembered by how he polarized the country.  Half the country had a somewhat positive view, half the country hated him on an almost personal level.

I filled out the survey (don't know how I got it, I've never registered with either party), they said it would cost $11 to process it (plea for more money).  I know that doesn't even register against the 250 million dollar pre-primary war chest, but maybe it will help send the message that we don't all support the idea of the US ruling the world.

Dec 5, 2003 - Snow??

I got up almost an hour early.  We were supposed to have 1 to 3 inches of snow.  When I got home last night I made sure the snow blower was working and everything.  I wasn't disappointed to see that while there was a bit of snow covering the lawn this morning, the sidewalks and streets were clear.  I probably would have opted for the extra sleep, but this way I had some time to log a few things to the website.

Dec 4, 2003 - Threat Level

morally deficient
Threat rating: Medium. Your total lack of decent family values makes you dangerous, but we can count on some right wing nutter blowing you up if you become too high profile.

What threat to the Bush administration are you? brought to you by Quizilla

Dec 1, 2003 - Link of the week

Go to Google.com and search on "miserable failure" (or just click on the link above).  Just as good as when you click on I Feel Lucky when searching on "weapons of mass destruction".
