Rochester Woodcarvers Hello and welcome back to another great year of Woodcarving. For those of you that attended the October meeting you saw an outstanding demonstration of fan carved birds. Jim Ayers mixed philosophy, poetry, hi tech, magic, and even some carving. If you missed that meeting, don't miss the November meeting. Harvey Refsal will talk about the history behind Dala horses. He promised to bring copies of his new book. You might want to pick up an autographed copy for yourself. I like to recognize the efforts of two members this month; Bev and Chuck Stupca have tirelessly helped the club by volunteering to help out whenever needed. They have served on the board, are the club treasurers, helped with the Christmas tree, they are always glad to be at carving demonstrations. Bev runs the Tuesday night carve-in class and is on the educational committee. The next time you see Bev and Chuck take time to personally thank them for their help in making a great Woodcarving club. This year, we are going to try and organize the woodcarving show by committee. If all goes well, this may be the answer to spread the work out and get more people involved. I'll try and keep everyone updated. Happy carving!
