CONSTRUCTION PROJECT '99

The month on July 1999 saw lots of construction activity at Lockwood Valley. The old 1940's era trailer was becoming a chore to keep weather tight and so the decision was made to made a permanent cover over top the trailer. This would also include a large deck (please see Construction 2000 for more pictures) surrounding it to the east. Working on plans of my own design, work started the first weekend in July. Never having done anything like this (both in size and scope), I wasn't sure how the finished product would look. Without the help of my friend Paul, it wouldn't have turned out nearly as nice as it did - it would have been impossible in fact. These pictures chronicle a month long project during the weekends. Work will resume on the structure sometime in Spring 2000. Look for more pictures to come then. BTW, the structure dimensions not including the deck are 25L x 9W x 12H. The small deck dimensions are 13L x 7.5W.
