The Hague

Children going along? You must visit "Den Haag". There is a miniature city there named "Madurodam". A treat for young and old alike. Built to scale, there are over 150 buildings depicting the many sides of The Netherlands. A Tram runs, stops at the proper place and then continues; there is an airport with the sound and movement of a Jet airplane; music from local pubs, ships move in a harbor etc., etc., etc.

When I visited I was camping having rented a small travel trailer in Germany, so I do not have first hand knowledge of accommodations within the Hague. Here again a good travel blue print like Tudors or Berlitz is a must. But do let the children see Madurodam. They will enjoy, as will you!

And don't forget! This is the diamond capital of the world. Good prices, huge selection, go for it!
