This class is a complete hands-on workshop in Cast Paper for all skill levels. Students
will create a design, sculpt their image into clay, create a mold, prepare the paper slurry, cast
the design, remove the mold and incorporate finishing details as necessary.

Each student will take home a complete multi-layered artwork. Jan will also show
each student how to pack their artwork for shipping. The class is limited to 12 students
in order to provide the necessary one-on-one, hand's on approach to paper casting.

|
A lab fee of $50.00 is required, and covers all necessary materials. Students are
requested to bring their favorite
sculpting tools. Framing solutions will be presented, and private critiques will be
available. Jan's book on cast paper design will also be available for the first time
at this class.

The class will be held at St. Mary's Art Center in Virginia City, Nevada, a genuine old
