Olympus Coliseum

Alright now here is how Olympus Coliseum works. You come here and fight some battles in a tournament style. The battles come in groups and are one after another. They get harder and harder until the final round. If you get to and win the final round you have won that tournament. You get special items for winning tournaments, but if you die nothing happens you just lose the tournament. There are only a few required tournaments and they are all easy, however going on to some of the other tournaments is not recommended until you have gained quite a few levels. For now though just head forward and through the double doors. Inside save first before you do anythinig. Talk to Phil and he will give you instructions thinking you are the all-powerful Hercules. Try to push the huge boulder as he asked by running into the side of it and Sora will complain about its weight. Then talk to Phil again and he will notice you are not Hercules, insult you, and finally ask you to leave. Talk to him again and he will ask if you are ready. When you're ready you will have to complete two obstacle courses. The first is easy the second not as much.

Tournament Practice Round #1

Objective - Destroy all the barrels in the time limit.
Time Limit -
Difficulty - 1/10
Strategy - All you need to do is attack the barrel in the middle and as soon as Sora does his spin attack he will most likely kick both of the side barrels (and any they hold up) out to the side. Any barrels that fly off the screen you should be able to safely assume are destroyed. If you have destroyed all of the barrels and he hasn't said not bad start searching. If you destroy the others in a reasonable amount of time you should have plenty of time to find one maybe even two barrels. All in all pretty straight-forward.

Tournament Practice Round #2

Objective - Destroy all the barrels in the time limit.
Time Limit - 1:00
Difficulty - 3/10
Strategy - This one is harder than the first but still doable. Go off to the left and nail the one barrel there quickly. Then go back to were you started and continue along the wall and around the corner to the left. Nail the one barrel there and then the two-stack of barrels in front of it. Turn left and jump up the stair and nail the middle barrel hopefully destroying the outer two. Then jump up one step and destroy the one barrel there. After that destroy the four barrels stacked between the two pillars. Jump up that stair and destroy the six barrels on top of the following stair. Jump up the other stair and nail the barrel on top. Lock on to the floating barrel and use fire on that one to take it out quicker. Then jump down behind and attack the barrel on the backside of the ledge. Head to the right and destroy the barrel there by the corner if you don't ricache hit it.

After you finish the tournament you get thunder from Phil and he tells you you aren't good enough for the games. Well we will see won't we (hehe). Save and leave through the double doors to meet Hates. He gives you an entry pass which you can use to enter the games! Now head into the lobby and save again. Before you enter the Preliminaries make sure you have potions equipped to Sora, Donald, and Goofy as they will help you immensely in the coming battles. Talk to Phil and say you're ready. Now the real fun begins.
Note: If you are unable to beat the enemies here you can go on to Tarzan. However I highly suggest you try to win the preliminaries as it will increase your stats and allow you to use the yellow trinity.

Tournament Preliminaries Match #1

Enemies - Soldier x4, Blue Nocturne x3
Difficulty - 1/10
Strategy - Here you will want to take out the nocturnes first as they can do damage without even being close to you. After they are gone take out the soldiers. Pretty simple battle all in all. But wait it gets harder.

Hey look at Cloud (FF 7) he looks um different. More polygons I think and oh yeah he has a mouth now I think well you cant really see it so lets just say he has a nose. Still improving although a mouth would have been better. Anyway you don't have to fight him just yet. That would be a little mean and a really steap learning curve.

Tournament Preliminaries Match #2

Enemies - Shadows x10, Blue Nocturne x3
Difficulty - 1/10
Strategy - Take out the nocturnes first again as the shadows do so little damage it is pathetic. After the nocturnes are gone simply lay waste to the shadows.

Tournament Preliminaries Match #3

Enemies - Red Nocturne x5, Blue Nocturne x5
Difficulty - 3/10
Strategy - Doesn't matter which you take out first just make sure you get em all! I suggest locking on to one and taking it out and then moving on to another as you will destroy one enemy at a time and reduce the amount of attacks all at once. If you attack any random one each time you will slowly take damage off of all of them and keep the number of enemy attacks at the same or just a little lower causing more damage to you.

Tournament Preliminaries Match #4

Enemies - Soldier x2, Blue Nocturne x3, Red Nocturne x3, Shadow x2
Difficulty - 3/10
Strategy - This one will be harder. I would suggest taking out the nocturnes first and then the soldiers and then the shadows.

Tournament Preliminaries Match #5

Enemies - Blue Nocturne x9
Difficulty - 4/10
Strategy - This one is were it starts getting interesting. There are nine of them really any order you want just make sure to lock on and take them out in a somewhat orderly fashion. An important note if you are having problems is that you can use fire rather effectively against the blue nocturnes as they are primarily blizzard. Also jumping will usually effectively dodge their attacks.

It couldn't last forever could it? Well even though Hates says you're fighting Cloud next him being the god of the underworld tends to lie. Thankfully you don't have to fight Cloud yet.

Tournament Preliminaries Match #5

Enemies - Big Body x1, Red Nocturne x4, Blue Nocturne x4
Difficulty - 4/10
Strategy - Take out the nocturnes first. I know the big body looks scary however he can do very little damage to you if you are constantly moving. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep an eye on him though. Make sure you take out the nocturnes quickly and use a potion if you are low. Thats why they're there.

Tournament Preliminaries Final Match

Enemies - Cloud x1
Difficulty - 6/10
Strategy - Now it's finally time to fight Cloud. Alright now he has a few attacks at his disposal. When he starts backing away from you he is probably getting ready to do his jump attack. This one is nasty as it does a lot of damage but is fairly easy to dodge just run in one direction and you should be alright. Next is a regular slice attack and this one is short range if he hits you on the jump attack. He also has a sliding slice attack which he uses if you block a lot of his attacks. He slices straight into you and out the other side. This one is harder to block. Here is some good news though you don't have to beat him! The game continues either way.

After the battle is over Cerberus comes out to try and eat everyone and Hercules saves the day. However Phil is worried that an invincible god cannot kill a three headed dog so you need to go in to the arena. Save first and then head in. If he asks if you are ready go for it.

Boss -- Cerberus

HP:????
MP:????
Alright now after the words of wisdom from Phil you get to fight Cerberus. First off lock onto one of the heads. From here you should do one of two things. Either attack from the ground or for better health saving technique go onto the bleachers and jump from there. If you are attack it from the ground go magic over physical attack until you run out of mp and then attack physically but only so you can get your mp gage up. Also I suggest once you are on the bleachers try jumping on his back while he is doing all those fireball attacks because this will protect you and put you in the best place to attack when he is done. Another thing as long as you focus on one of the heads to the sides you can attack very easily when he is doing the very large teeth attack. Go to the side that you have targeted watch him raise his head and munch down. As soon as his head goes up start walking towards him and time it so that you get there when he goes down that way you can attack as soon as he is done and you don't get hurt. Also make sure you run away as soon as you get three or even two shots in as he attacks rather quickly. Once he does his fireball attack it is a good idea to head underneath his stomach because the fireballs will never get to you and he doesn't move enough to get you in range. When he stands up on his hind legs get ready to jump becuase he does an attack that spreads an energy wave outward and if you don't jump it does some decent damage. Towards the end of the battle it will decide to do an energy blast. You can tell when he is preparing to do this because he will start foaming black clouds at the mouths. Now this attack is somewhat easy to dodge all you need to do is never move the same way twice. It looks for patterns in the way you move and tries to guess where you will go next. It puts a nice big energy blast wherever it thinks you will go. So confuse it by any means and you should avoid the attack. The attack also works on the bleachers for anyone thinking of avoiding it that way. Also you want to stay close to him when he does this because he might also use a fireball attack shortly afterwards in which case you will need to take cover quickly. This guy is one tough cookie but you should be able to beat him. You recieve 200 exp for winning the battle.

After the battle you get the accessory Inferno Band. After the conversation you are dubbed "Junior" heros and you get the hero license. Walk to the right and jump onto the ledge. Walk around the pillars and get a Mega-Potion. Walk back across the courtyard to the other ledge and grab the blue trinity on top. You get dalmations 22, 23, and 24. Then go over and talk to poor old Cloud. Now you can use that annoying slide slash technique that Cloud kept using. Alright thats all there is here so head inside the lobby for the save portal, save and then go to the coliseum gates to board the gummi ship. Next stop is Tarzan so go to Traverse Town and make sure you have 5 potions. Then continue onward to wonderland and then to the new location Tarzan.
Note: If you already have 5 potions you can just go right from the Olympus Coliseum to get to Tarzan.
