Enemies: Darkside (Boss)

You awake to find yourself on the same beach as in the intro. The same girl is looking down at you. You are introduced to her as Kairi. The boy you have been playing is named Sora and another boy (the one Sora couldn't get to because of the wave) is named Riku. After the short scene it becomes official that this is Destiny Island. You have two options:
1. Be good and linear and talk to Kairi(required)
2. Battle with your friends first
Note: You can battle anytime today and tommorrow. To battle against someone just talk to them and ask to battle.
Once you are done haveing fun, practicing, or leveling up make your way back to Kairi. Note also that you can fight all three of Wakka, Selphie, and Tidus if you beat them all individually. Once you win you earn a potion. If you talk to Riku and win the fight you will also gain a potion but quicker.

Optional Boss -- Wakka

HP:????
MP:????

To beat Wakka you need to understand how he attacks. His first attack is a regular throw. This isn't that accurate and is rather slow and easy to avoid. When you hit him he will usually try to do a spin attack on you. This is attack number two and it is a little more dangerous. Once you hit him three times immediately turn the left joystick away from Wakka in order to effectively dodge this attack. His final attack which is used once you get his health down is the rocket ball attack. This one he jumps up in the air and launches it down at you. This one is fast! You should be able to notice that before he performs this attack he will start to rotate his arm. At this point attack him and if you're lucky you might be able to stop his attack right there. If not you can attack him while he's jumping, but make sure he doesn't jump away before you attack, otherwise you just put yourself in front of the bullet.

Optional Boss -- Selphie

HP:????
MP:????

Selphie has a few different attacks although none of them are very powerfull. The first is a regular whip. This attack can be blocked for EXP or dodged rather easily. The second attack is a spinning whip attack and
this one is really rather annoying. She will follow you spinning the whip until she hits you. To keep her from hitting you wait for her to come to you and then right when you have the chance to attack (the lock on reticle goes white, but not double white) do so quickly. If you attack too soon you will miss and she will hit you and if you do it too late she will whip you before you have a chance to attack.

Optional Boss -- Tidus

HP:????
MP:????

Tidus is probably the second hardest of the group to beat. When he gets ready to do his jump attack simply attack to defend it and then keep attacking to do some damage. Patience will get you everywhere in this battle.

Optional Boss -- Riku

HP:????
MP:????

Riku is one tough cookie. Most of the time when you attack him he will block it, but don't give up he won't block all of them! Once you get an attack down he might fall on his back with his feet up in the air and make sure to move immediately. He will jump off of his back and nail you square-enix in the stomach if you don't! Make sure to attack as soon as you see him start to attack and you should be able to block his attacks. Also, when he jumps up you should take full advantage of the break and prepare for another attack.

Optional Boss -- Wakka, Selphie, and Tidus

HP:????
MP:????

In this battle I would take out Selphie first, Tidus second, and Wakka last. Try and keep Selphie in between you and Tidus. That way Tidus will take some damage if he is close enough to Selphie. After Selphie is gone Tidus will be easier. Once Tidus is gone it's just a one-on-one battle with Wakka. Use the previous strategies to beat each individual character.

You need to collect Logs x2, Cloth x1, and Rope x1. To get these items first go out to the shore under the bridge. The first log is there. Second, go right from the first point and jump onto the rock ledge. From the ledge jump up to the top of the building and walk accross and onto the upper ledge. Proceed across the bridge and you will find the second log. You can talk to Riku here and fight him or continue on. To get the cloth walk accross the bridge again and jump off onto the building. Continue on along the rock ledge until you see another level of rocks and a stairway. Take the stairway up to the tree and follow the flight of stairs and the ladder up to the top of the tree. Once at the top go inside the hole and run into the right wall to get the cloth. Next jump off of the tree house ledge and walk forward until you get to the ladder. Follow the path to the area from your dream. Walk to the far right corner to get the rope. Now head back to Kairi. On your way back you will end up walking over or under a bridge and on the land side of the bridge there is a small building. This building contains a save portal and it wouldn't be a bad idea to save there before talking to Kairi. Whether you decide to save or not talk to Kairi and you will then see a set of scenes. The first shows Riku in deep thought about visiting other worlds and the second introduces you to the Disney side of Kingdom Hearts. After the scene you find yourself in the same place you were before. This time around you can still fight all of your friends and save at the save portal in the shed, however there is one slight difference. The entire other half of the island is now open for exploration! Go over to where Kairi was and walk through the door she was blocking to get to the next half of the island. Talk to Riku and after his pointless reference to FF 7 he will let you pick the name for the raft (or does he?). He will then race you to a star topped tree at the other end of the island. To make it there you need a good start. Make sure you jump over the two missing sections on the first bridge, but make sure you walk on it enough to make him fall after you jump! Once accross the first bridge go up the ladder and jump onto the wire. As soon as you do make sure you release all buttons so that you don't jump off! Then you can either jump accross the trees or jump accross the path to the right. I suggest the trees. On the way back don't care about falling off the trees just go for the middle solid ground platform. Once on the solid ground you must make your way accross the bridge to get back. You may have to try a few times before you get used to the course. One thing to look out for on your way back though is the jump onto the middle section. If you go for the corner that looks like the least amount of jump you will never make it. You need to jump 2/3 to 1/2 of the way away from the edge (rather annoying, might be a glitch?). Once the race is over head down the course until you get to the middle ledge (the one with the tower on it). Go to the ocean side and you will see a crate, pick it up and bring it over to the cliff side. Throw it towards the cliff and then jump up. You should be able to see a hole in the cliff with a treasure chest in it. If the box isn't lined up right move it appropriately and then jump in and open the chest to get a Protect Chain. Equip it although it won't help a whole lot. Save if you want and then talk to Kairi (she's by the raft). She will give you yet another list of supplies for the coming trip. First let's get the two Coconuts. To do this go directly towards the star topped tree from where you are now. You will run into a grove of trees. Whack the trees with your sword and eventually some Coconuts will fall. Only the yellow ones are good. Once you have the two that you need go back towards the start of the race. On the way you should notice a boulder lying in front of a cave. Push it from either side and walk in to recieve your first mushroom. Head around to the middle platform and take a right. Look the oposite direction of the wooden bridge and you will see two mounds of plants that are separated in the middle. The right side has the second mushroom hidden inside. Now turn around and jump off to the right hand side of the wooden bridge. Walk into the stream that comes out of the cliff to get the drinking water. Next go through the wooden bridge and around to the platform to get back on the top side of the bridge. Walk accross until you reach the door to the other side of the island. Proceed through. On this side of the island walk over to the waterfall that Wakka is standing next to. Jump on top of the shed and walk over to the first skiny tree in front of you. Run into it and Sora will start to climb it. Jump off of the tree you are on onto the thick tree to get the Seagull Egg. I find this item to be particularily annoying so if you are having trouble do this. Face the shack while still on the first tree and then jump keeping the joystick held down to the left after you jump. From here jump into the water and swim around for a while. Look for some small black dots swimming with you and run them over to catch the three fish you need. If you can't find any there are almost always some fish by the boats. From here there is just one thing left to get, the last mushroom. To get it go to the waterfall area over by Wakka and follow the path to the left that leads towards a hole in the cliff. Once inside follow the path until you reach a door. Examine it and then go to the right to get the last item. Then enjoy the cinematic. After the exciting cinematic go back and save if you want to and then head back over to Kairi. Make sure you are done fighting the others because after you talk to Kairi you can't go back and fight them. When you're ready tell her it's time to call it a day. After this you will see a long three-part cinematic. Enjoy! After the scene you will find yourself on Destiny Island again only it is nighttime. As you look around you will most likely find some small enemies popping up here and there. Fight them if you want, but know that they just keep coming. Once your done having fun head over to the secret place which you will notice has been turned into a white door. After you read the message go back towards the shack and jump on top. Head out over the bridge and yet another cinematic will begin. This one reminds me of something in the intro (hmm). So he is evil (or is he?). Yes, finally a weapon. This is a keyblade! Now you can do some real damage to those shadows. A lot of the shadows will give off Potions so try and collect a few. Once you're done head over to the secret place. Here you will see another cinematic. After that strange cinematic Sora will have another boss fight to win.

BOSS -- Darkside

HP:????
MP:????
Suggested Level: Sora: 2
My Level: Sora: 2

This guy is just as easy as the first boss. All you have to do is wait for him to lower one of his hands and then lock on. Once locked on start whacking away. Eventually he will die. When he pounds his hand into the ground to bring out some creatures just whack away at the hand until it leaves your attack range and then focus on the little guys. If you are really low on health make sure you take out the little guys first though.

Once you beat him Sora is sucked into the abyss. Enjoy yet another cinematic.
