Definition of Terms

HP
 
HP is short for Hit Points and is effectively health for an enemy or a friendly character. Hit points are deducted when either magical or physical damage is dealt to that player and is increased when either a curative magical spell or curative item is used on that player. The HP of your friendly characters is displayed in green around the characters face in Kingdom Hearts. The enemies HP can be discovered using the ability scan.

Abilities (Boss)
 
These are special moves that a boss can perform besides a simple attack. Some of these abilities can be learned by friendly characters and some cannot. In Kingdom Hearts you cannot learn abilities from bosses, however you can learn some of the abilities the bosses use.
