FLCL - Episode Guide
Episode 1 - Fooly Cooly
Naoto, the main character, and Mamimi, his brothers girlfriend, have their first incounter with an alien named Haruko. Where did Haruko come from and why is she so obsessed with Naoto? What is the Medical Meccanica plant and how is it connected to Naoto and Haruko?
Episode 2 - Fire Starter
Mamimi is addicted to a game called Firestarter and she has some connection to recent events around the city. After the last episode Naoto's robot Canti has been helping out around the house. Naoto finds out that he has lost his brain and Canti starts showing his true power.
Episode 3 - Marquis de Carabas
We are introduced to Ninamori who is a very popular student at school and the mayor's daughter. Ninamori is having problems at home as her parents are divorcing and she is trying to stay out of it. She has always liked Naoto it seems however she has not openly said anything probably because of her reputation and Mamimi. After a talk with Naoto she gets thrown into the story and it takes a new twist.
Episode 4 - Full Swing
This episode is the start of confusion. Nothing in this episode seems to make sense but it all will in about an hour don't worry. When you are watching this episode make sure to look for dual conversations. This episode has numerous scenes where IMHO the characters have multiple conversations simultaneously. I had to watch parts of this episode 3-4 times before I could figure out which sentence belonged to which conversation. This episode, while confusing, lays the base for an amazing end to the story.
Episode 5 - Brittle Bullet
This episode starts out with a slight break from the story as Naoto and Kamon battle for Haruko's love. Does she really love either of them or is there someone else? Naoto is enjoying his newfound popularity, but are his friends enjoying his newfound ego? Who is good and who is bad? Will we ever know?
Episode 6 - FLCLimax
The end of the series. Mamimi begins to feed a new friend, but will it get her in trouble? Haruko is missing and so is Canti. Is Canti Atomsk? Will they ever come back? Does Mamimi love Naoto or his brother? What will happen to the world? Who knows?
