Other Places -  Since my emigration to the USA, I have found myself at a disadvantage with caves and mountains.  To locate cave or mountain regions I am required to travel 700 miles in any direction.  This geographic factor has put a stop to weekend activities both above and below ground.  We do live close to a national forest which has allowed us keep fit and maintain sanity.  The pictures below were mainly shot on road trips around the country with my wife Ellie, she has the unfortunate curse of being dragged up mountains and across arid desert landscapes.

Puddle Picture - 1995.  This picture was taken in a puddle at Camp Algonquin, Wisconsin on an autumn day.

Snowden Lake - 1995.  This picture has no special effects applied to it.  This was one of those occasions where you are glad your camera was handy.

Rainbow Falls - 1996.  Taken on the way down from Mount LeConte in the Smokey Mountain National Park.

Dub Mill Point - 1997.  Taken on a stormy February day on the UK's Cumbrian coastline.

Badlands National Park - 1997.  Cracked mud picture taken on Ellie and my honeymoon trip to South Dakota.

The La Pointe Pond - 2001.  Playing with black and white film led to this opportunity.  Spot the animal !!

Porcupine Mountains - 2004.  An enjoyable foray up to the Porcupine Mountains in Early spring.

English Settlement Road - 2006. One thing good about children is that they get you up in a morning.  This was taken at sunrise after a pretty significant snow snowstorm the night before.

Escanaba, Lake Michigan - 2007.  This was taken in October when it shouldn't have been warm enough to walk in the cold waters of a Great Lake.

Willow Flowage, Wisconsin - 2007.  Randy Ahrens glides through the water like a man with all the time in the world.  An enjoyable weekend was had by Randy, Mike, and myself.
