Do these stickers look familiar to you? Thanks to the good people out there, I was able to positively identify many! Those with text in black still need an ID of Call Letters and City of License. Most are from the U.S., but a few may be from Canada or other countries. I will post the answers in in red as the mysteries are solved. Thanks a million to all who have responded so far!Are you a radio/TV bumper sticker collector? I have hundreds of U.S./Canadian stickers to trade. I don't plan on building back up my trade stock because I just have too much to do and have run out of time for this hobby (at least for now). I trade 1 for 1 regardless of size. If interested in trading, write to rvx@charter.net. Here is my TRADE LIST in Excel.

My gut tells me this is more West Coasty... Not sure why... I THOUGHT someone ID'd this, and it was west coast... I overwrote my latest version of this file with an old one! And now I can't find the e-mail! AAAHHHHH! | |

KXLK 105.3 FM in Wichita, around 1993. It was a medium-to-hot AC at the time. It switched to smooth jazz in 1996 or so, went to country for a few months in about 2001, then went to all 80s. It is now an 80s-hot AC hybrid as KFBZ. (Thanks to Jake for this info!!) |

KYZZ, Wolf Point, MT (located on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in NE MT). It first signed on in the early 80's - and for some reason they decided that the Z's looked like 2's. I worked here after this sticker was used in the late 80's and again in the late 90's. The call is now KVCK-FM (2004) - Thanks to Dave G. I never thought this would be solved!! |

Maui, HI - Currently, this is KLHI, or "The Point." This sticker came out in 1988. What were the 1988 call letters? |
|
Sticker came out in 1991. No other hints... It is NOT from Dallas - the station changed from "Magic" to "Mix" in 4/91, it's never been "oldies" |

Need call letters
and city. Zero clues on back... it's blank. I think that the Rock 105 one was from KOCD which was located in Pittsburg , KS and Joplin, MO. KOCD started out as KOCD 98.3 then became The Rock 105.3 but went as 105. While KOCD mainly used another bumper sticker, a friend of mine that works at KOCD once showed me that bumper sticker or a similar one. KOCD operated in the 1990's. David Lee Clay |

MARS-FM was 2 sync'd FM stations in Santa Monica and Newport Beach California. The Santa Monica call leters were KSRF and the Newport Beach call letters were KOCM. It was only MARS from May 1991 thru Sept. 1992. We often refered to this logo as the "Hello Kitty" logo. It was in the process of being changed when the plug was pulled and the station changed to Jazz. Thanks
to Rick for this information! So KACD was never the call for this one? |
