Mass Frenzy Alumni News
Taylor Desanty (Frenzy Class of 2009) was named Athlete of the Week at Colby Sawyer College. Taylor scored 17 points in her second collegiate game to lead the Chargers to an 83-69 win over Elmira College.
Mass Frenzy U12 Boys
The Mass Frenzy U12 boys competed in the Team Mass Fall Blast tournament in Sturbridge on the weekend on Nov. 14th and 15th .On Sunday, the Frenzy boys found themselves in the U12 championship against Team Mass. The Frenzy boys did not disappoint. Trailing 4 - 2 early in the game, the Frenzy dug in and went ahead 6 - 4. From that point on, they would never trail in the game again, eventually pushing the lead out to 10 points. In the second half, Team Mass went on a run and were able to pull within 4 points. After a timeout, the Frenzy went back on the court and responded with a run of our own, running out the clock and winning the game 41 - 30. It was an excellent effort put forth by all and a great team win.
2010 Frenzy Tournament
U16 - West Coast Championships
The Mass Frenzy U16 team finished 4th out of 82 teams at the West Coast Championships in San Diego, California a NCAA Certified player evaluation event. The team finished the event with a 5-1 record, its only loss a 5 point loss in the opening game to the North Bay Elite. After the opening loss, the Frenzy went on to win the next 5 games straight with wins over teams from Washington, California, Colorado, and Oregon.
The final game for the fourth place championship was an exciting 55-52 overtime win over Silverado Basketball of California. The Frenzy fought back from a double-digit deficit with under 5 minutes to play to pull out the victory. An impressive way to end the spring/summer season at a high level national tournament.
