in addition to several different metallic, frizz and silky fibers, and seed beads in shades of aqua and mauve. The antenna is an opalescent pipe cleaner and the eye is a crystal rhinestone. Mixed lace techniques including: Withof Duchesse, Bruges, Cantu and Milanese. This piece was originally designed, upon request, for the Detroit Zoo (insect house) who eventually declined the piece. It was featured on the cover of The Great Lakes Lace Group 25th Anniversary Booklet. It now resides in a private collection.
