This 50 card set was issued in Allen & Ginter cigarettes in 1888. There is very little size variation in the cards. The cards measure approximately 38mm x 69mm. The cards were produced using a 4 stone lithogric press. There are 4 know variations in the set. These are Agate Arrow Point picturing White Swan, British picturing Chief Gall, Chief Gall picturing Agate Arrow Point and White Swan picturing British. Here is a picture of the back of the card and the 4 variations. The N36s use the same portrait but are a larger card and have an ornate boarder.
