Tech news has been slow lately with things only remotely interesting, but then this caught my eyes today.

It is a very significant little revelation for most mobile phone users that they are not safe anymore. As the convergence of applications continue and we get smaller and more powerful mobile devices, we get people writing malicious code. Its the law of the computer wild. However, mobile phones with wireless communication makes spreading a virus or trojan that much simpler, in my point of view. You can't trace the source either because one person can just walk through a mall with a infected phone and anyone within range with the right phone turned on with the right features will be infected. Its just that easy. Almost as simpler than spreading the flu in a crowded area, especially once all phone companies start manufacturing phones with similar features, its just going to get that much easier.
Scary thought, right?
