Yes, its been dang long since I updated or wrote something in my blog. It's pretty much dead, but I just wanted to be lazy and use this space to post an application I wrote that can hopefully be useful to others.
Bibliography Tracker
- Q: So, what is it?
- A: Its a nifty little program that a grad student can use to keep track of all the papers, books, and journals they've read. It records the title, all the authors, and you can tag on a brief summary of the paper. Then the program will let you cross reference to see which author wrote what papers, etc. Just an organization tool in general.
- Q: Is it easy to use?
- A: I don't know. You tell me.
- Q: Why did you write this?
- A: Because I needed it. I'm very bad with remember which author wrote what, and so forth. This is a tool to save me some memory.
- Q: Will there be upgrades?
- A: Yes, since currently it doesn't have a search feature, which would be great.
- Q: Are there any bugs?
- A: Maybe, but hopefully not. It does lack the ability to delete entries once you add them.
- Q: Where can I download it?
- A: Right HERE.
- Q: Where can I send for help?
- A: E-mail me at ser-geon(at)charter.net with the topic "BiblioTracker HELP!" and I may respond.
- Q: Can I request for features?
- A: Yes and No. I have some future feature updates in mind, but am open to suggestion.
- Q: Does this use a database?
- A: Nope, its plain text with no databases attached.
- Q: Why not use a database?
- A: Because I'm lazy and don't want to look up how.
- Q: Why are you still reading? Go Install the dang thing!!
