John was, reportedly, one of the brothers who came to America from Germany in 1907. The family story places John with his brothers, August and Rudolph.
From what we understand, John enjoyed alcohol to excess, and was found dead one morning "on a coal heap in the street."
We are uncertain of the year in which John died, but it was not long after his arrival in Chicago.
