American's New Nonstop Route from Chicago to Nagoya, Japan Makes It Easy and Convenient to Travel to the EXPO
American Airlines is an official sponsor of the U.S. Pavilion at World EXPO 2005 in Aichi, Japan. The EXPO will be held starting March 25 through September 25, in Aichi Prefecture, which is located in Central Japan and includes the city of Nagoya.
AA began daily non-stop service from Chicago's O'Hare Airport to Nagoya (NGO) on April 3.
Aichi is an area with a mild climate and a rich culture dating back to the 7th and 8th centuries. Many genres of traditional crafts and folk entertainment continue to live on in the daily lives of the people of Aichi. Visitors can luxuriate in hot springs baths, sample the seafood-driven local cuisine and step back into the 21st century at nearby amusement parks.
But visitors to the EXPO are probably interested in more than seafood and roller coasters. World Exposition 2005 is advertised as a chance to "Explore the Earth's Future," and carries the theme "Nature's Wisdom." The EXPO is expected to attract upwards of 15 million visitors, interested in helping the international community to unite in confronting global issues such as desertification, global warming, and a shortage of natural resources.
What will there be to see and do at EXPO 2005? Well, according to confernce officials, "In 2005, the world will gather together in Aichi Prefecture. There, we can weave together a fabric for a new global society; we can stand together, exchange smiles and share the wisdom of the world-felt and enjoyed with all our senses and experienced with our whole being. Let us do this for all life and the future of our planet."
It's not all about ecology and nature; for instance, the Japan Association will conduct a Robot Project at EXPO 2005. The project will feature working and prototype robots that clean, patrol, guide visitors, and perform other tasks.
Nature and technology tie together; as the conference organizers say, " It is ... increasingly imperative that we regain 'nature's wisdom' and that our proud technological achievements incorporate this wisdom."
Considering a trip to EXPO 2005? No problem. Just take one of the hundreds of AA, American Eagle or American Connection flights available into Chicago's O'Hare Airport; then hop on Flight # 27 from Chicago nonstop to the NEW Central Japan International Airport. Then it's just a 30-minute train ride from the airport to Nagoya Station, and a subway ride into the heart of the EXPO.
Travelers can check schedules and fares and book flights to Nagoya and other destinations by visiting AA.com, where AA guarantees customers will find the lowest fares available for flights on American Airlines.
American Airlines is an official sponsor of the U.S. Pavilion at EXPO 2005, one of 10 such pavilions, including six Global Commons, the Central Zone, Japan Zone, Corporate Pavilion Zone, Interactive Fun Zone, Forest Experience Zone and the Seto Area, a symbolic pavilion dedicated to the "Nature's Wisdom" theme.
