As noted elsewhere in this Webfolio, from 2005-10, I worked as an internal communications specialist and senior writer for Texas Health Resources. In that role, I oversaw production of employee communications ranging from print magazines and newsletters to electronic newsletters; wrote speeches and e-mail/letters for executives; managed development and approval of the first system style guide; and contributed to the development of the system's new intranet.

Message from Doug Hawthorne
Hawthorne has been the chief executive officer of the Texas Health Resources system since it formed in 1997. For five years, I was privileged to author dozens of "Message from Doug Hawthorne" e-mails for his approval and subsequent distribution.
