MICK DOHERTY
Writing Samples from UT Southwestern Medical Center

As noted elsewhere in this webfolio, from 2010-11, I worked as a communications specialist and web writer for UT Southwestern Medical Center.

A variety of writing samples from that time are shown here. Links with no parentthetical indications point to live pages on the web. Otherwise, some of these documents are saved as drafts in MS Word or as PDF documents (as noted, parenthetically).

Nursing Profiles I drafted the initial new department and division content for the Internal Medicine department and 14 of its 15 divisions (all but Cardiology, which was written by Al Marucci), for the Clinical Sciences department, the Orthopaedic Surgery department, the Radiation Oncology department and more.

I also contributed, as part of the web writing team, to development of other areas of the site, including Life @ UT Southwestern, Mission & History and more.

All of this information is available from the top-of-page drop-down menus on the new UTSouthwestern.edu website.

I also wrote the very first home page lead feature story to appear on the new website upon its launch, The Future of Medicine comes online.
