I have been playing sax for 30 years and have played mostly in casual bands in the Los Angeles area. It was alot of fun until the DJ's took over the market in 1992. Since then my band hasn't worked nearly as much and we eventually said "Forget it!!" and disbanded in 1995. That's the life of a musician, rignt??? Now I play flute with my 9 year old son when he practices his tenor sax for school band. Isn't it ironic that after 30 years of playing my 4th grade son plays more often than I do?? I also play keyboards and interface them with my computer. Old musicians never die, they just go MIDI!! |
