Christmas
was fun! We took a LONG time to open presents (Tucker had a BUNCH
plus he wanted to play with everything for a while before moving
on!). Jeff and I decided we needed scissors, wire cutters, an
assortment of batteries and screwdrivers to keep Christmas rolling
smoothly. It was our first Christmas at home by ourselves.
Tucker
is getting used to the idea of a baby sister and has been helping
me set up the swing, bouncy chair, car seat etc. He often talks
to himself about his baby sister and will ask me once a day "When
is baby sister coming?" I want to know the same thing...but
answer
"Pretty soon" and hope it's true!
Tucker's
new phrase is "I know" - another sign of his independence!
I tell him something and he says "I know, mom" or Jeff
will be explaining about something and get an "I know, dad".
He is talking in more complete sentences, singing many songs
at the top of
his lungs (most often in the grocery store or a restaurant!)
and drawing pictures of people and animals with recognizable
body parts! We think he is amazing but I'm sure he's just an
average kid with parents who think he hangs the moon. We'll keep
you posted to how he interacts with his baby sister... hopefully
he'll be a big help!
Happy
New Year!!!
Thanks for tuning in!
