Why a Rawson Website and why now?

"Rawson used to be our own little world – long before we went out into the real world. The kids we played with on the street were the kids we walked to and from school with (four times a day- we came home for lunch!). The kids on the playground were also in our brownie troop or cub scout pack. We grew up with one another, taking it for granted that we’d always be friends, always be in touch. And then – we weren’t." -- Wendy Youlovsky Dytman, Rawson '63

Over the last several years, Wendy had been thinking about those days at Rawson and the kids she shared them with. She wondered what everyone was up to and longed to know how everyone was doing, but the logistics of trying to locate everyone seemed impossible. Oddly enough, I too had been having similar thoughts about my days at Weaver and since I knew how to do something about it, I set up a Weaver High Website and started tracking down as many people as I could, eventually contacting Wendy. Having done all the work building the Weaver Website I convinced her how easy it would be to use that information to build a Rawson Web Site and to use it to help her plan a reunion this summer. So if you think this Website looks very similar to Weaver's, it not an accident.

The names of your classmates who have been found are listed below – a camera icon indicates a picture is posted and you should feel free to send your photo to me to post by clicking on Mark Seger. Click on the links below to list Missing Classmates and see if you can help us find anyone else (even if you knew where they were living 5-10 years ago - it’s a place to start!). You can also check out the links for Class Photos and revel in the funny haircuts! (The two posted came from Jay Wish - but I hope you’ll all look through your attics and basements and send me more.)

Keep checking in with the website; we will add classmates as we find them, class pictures (as you send them) and information about reunion as we get it.
