My Friends My best friends in the whole world are the ones I found online: Candy, Twyla, Susanne, Alannah, Jen, Deb B, Donna, Nikki, Patty, Deb M, and Kris. Candy - She is my original Duranie soul sister because we are so much alike! I would swear we were twins separated at birth, except for the fact that she's about a foot taller than me! She has long brown hair, and I have shoulder-length, strawberry-blonde, mostly straight hair. LOL But we think so much alike it's scary sometimes! Candy bought me my first true DD t-shirt (I wear it constantly!), at Inland Invasion in July 2003, and then she sent it to me, along with DD buttons, pictures, magazines, and all kinds of goodies! I so love her, and not just for the stuff she sent me!!!! LOL She is truly a cool babe! And so lucky that she gets to go to the last DD show on the 25 Year Reunion Tour! If I could have, I'd have been camped out on her doorstep! Twyla - My "local" Duranie soul sister, but she isn’t really local anymore. She had to move away, and I miss her terribly! Twyla is the one who went with me to my very first ever DD concerts, and the sole reason I got to meet Simon! I owe her big time, especially since I was tied up with Roger and she didn't get her pic with JT at the radio station! I'm so sorry, girlfriend, but I completely have your back next time, I PROMISE! Twyla has also sent me a few things, like local newspapers with DD ads, a couple CDs, and a video that has some early DD performances on it! One of my favourite, newly acquired possessions! Twyla is another cool babe, who has my undying devotion forevermore. Without her, I would not have had the experiences I received at the hands of DD! Both of these wonderful ladies (Candy and Twyla) have listened to me endlessly go on and on about the naughty things I'd like to do to Simon, if given half a chance! Between the 2 of them, they have single-handedly provided me with songs that I wouldn't have otherwise, and turned me on to Terroristen! They are GREAT friends!!!! Not once have they ever told me to shut up about Simon, or anything else, for that matter! *snuggles Candy and Twyla* Susanne - I met Susanne in Atlanta (Nov 2003), before the show. She is the reason I have the pic with Roger that you see on my homepage. I have one of her and Roger, too, but I don't want to put it up unless she doesn't mind. *hint hint, girlie :-)* Susanne is another one of the coolest Duranies on the planet! I just love her to bits! We so have to get together again!!!! Alannah - Because of Alannah, I now have the Tokyo 1989 performance that I've been dying to get my hands on! One of the hottest videos ever made! I have been writing for almost a year, poems and stories, inspired by Simon. Alannah was one of the first people I shared these with, because I trust her to be completely honest with me, and tell me if it's shite or not! She gave me the confidence to continue writing. They are all so good I can't make up my mind which one I want to use first! Deb is always swamped with work, but she still found time to make me my very own Simon desktop! She is so awesome for doing this! Thanks to you, friend of mine! Also, I got to meet Donna in December 2004 at Atlanta’s Jingle Jam. She hooked us up with a GREAT hotel within walking distance of the venue. We almost got arrested, and didn’t find the band, but we still had the best time!!!! Nikki – Another writer of excellent DD fan fiction! She has helped to inspire me, and keep me sane. One of the sweetest people I've ever known. Thanks so much for encouraging me to keep going with my writing, even when it sucks. Love ya, Chica! Patty – The lovely owner of the Yahoo group dougrayscottunplugged. She is also the owner of a Dougray Scott site, and as soon as I can get the link, I’ll add it here. She was able to travel to London and meet up with another friend to see Dougray in “Becket” at the Royal Haymarket Theatre. They also got to meet him in his dressing room, and I know it was such a thrill for them! Patty, you are one beautiful lady, and I’m so glad to know you and count you among my friends. Deb M – Co-owner with Patty of the Dougray site, and the unplugged site, too. Deb, just remember this, honey: If God leads you to it, He will lead you through it. You are a very strong lady, and although sometimes life is really hard, you can make it. I have faith in you, and stand behind you 100%. You made the right choice, Babe. Love ya! Kris – I met Kris through the Dougray site, but she shares my passion for Duran Duran, too. We were able to meet at Jingle Jam in Atlanta (Dec 2004), and she is one of the coolest, most down-to-earth folks I’ve ever met. Her sister Jen, too. Just awesome ladies! :-D We are planning on trying to hook up in Jacksonville FL for the next tour (Feb 2005). I can’t wait to get together with Kris and Jen again! We didn’t get to spend much time together in Atlanta, and we will make up for it in February! Stalkers unite! LOL
