Racing Pod work in progress.

Started work on the aluminum pod.  So far have the main frame finished and the adjustable links. Also need to make the bases for the wheel, seat and pedals.  Have also made a pedestal for the trackball and a base for the keyboard. Also still need to clean it up, and will paint it once have all the pieces made up and it warms up a bit.  The bases will be stained, as am making them out of wood.

Finished!! Ready to go in the pod.

Backside showing the adjustable stops.

Positioned in the pod, ready for racin'!!

Many thanks to Todd Cannon for the design and thought that went into these pedals. The load cell braking is the best feature on these, but also have to say the whole package is worth many times over the approximately $200.00 I put into making them. Taking a little bit getting used to them after 8 years of using a TSW2 set. I may upgrade to an ECCI wheel, but they can keep the pedals.

Added my custom pedal covers.

The next project is now complete. Added gears to turn my TSW2 into a 900 degree wheel. Parts list is in a zip file on the main page at the bottom. Below are a cpl of pics of the assembly together and the new cover had to make.

Used a 16 tooth and a 60 tooth gear to get teh amount of revolutions wanted, and so could have a positive stop also.

Now I can put my keyboard on top, and the buttons are much closer, instead of the button box up by the monitor, they're now withing easy reach.

Hard to tell the colors by the pics, but its Cosmic silver, Iridescent electric blue and Iridescent bright yellow. Too bad cant get these colors in iRacing, would look awesome on the cars.
