Gentle Warrior
A warrior, comes to see many things.
May he see himself , what is truly him.
Shall he look within and find bravery
For when he truly looks at himself, he is a brave man.
Shall he show compassion, love and tenderness?
Shall he except the guilt of deeds past done, then lay it down?
To except it as a lesson and then move on?
Brave deeds these, may he find their power within.
Many a war was fought, many a battle won.
Now he looks inside, to find what must be done.
He sees the guilt of pride, want, have and loss.
Remembering a loss, money or power could not buy.
It is time, he reaches inside and finds a gentle warrior.
He looked at himself and found a brave man.
He sees what he is, what he has been, and what he can be.
He sees the guilt on his shoulders, holding him down.
A needless load, he puts it aside, laying it down.
He smiles, drops his armor, hands out, palm up and open.
To walk softly with and for others, evermore.
