Poncho liner
Funny story, this poncho liner is what I slept in at night and what I wrapped around me to stay warm on guard duty at night.
I carried it most of a year, and yes it got washed from time to time. Still needless to say it had a smell all it's own.
When I started scanning in the pictures for this web site I had forgotten this picture (it had been a lot of years).
The second the scan showed on my screen of the poncho liner, I swear I could smell it.
Funny how sight, sound and smell interact with memories.
