-- Traditional (w/ seasons) --

Listen to the rain
as it falls to the pavement,
pitter-patter-ing.

red nose winter wind
freezing my breath as I talk
and stroll with my friends.

Dirty slush squishes
as I walk down to your house
to ask if you'll play.

Deep slumbering trees
Awake! Rise up and stretch out
to the new spring sun.

Time to say farewell.
Head out down the highway east.
Winter sun behind me.

Relationships change.
Winter's snow becomes spring rain
just as my love changed.

Feelings hidden deep,
like squirrels' nuts for winter
hidden away from sight.

Zen phillosophy,
summer's sun, warms my heart -
illuminating!

Burdened minds think slow
like mud frozen in a frost-
Free minds like spring rain.

Things are not the same,
love gone like sun in winter,
but still we are friends.

Coffee trip to store -
we walk through autumn's cold wind
holding hands no more

-- no seasons --

aquintence level
talk of things that don't matter
and telling half truths

Duplicitous world!
Physical and spiritual -
Binary theory!

Half truths are half lies.
Half to appease you, half me.
Conversations kill

counting syllables
and tapping to the rythum
I write my haiku

red socks on my feet
unfashionable yet warm
Thank you Aunt Peggy

e.e. cummings wrote
poems in all lower case letters
and ficticious words
