Hello.
I found this page for Hiro because he asked me about a book I'm reading entitled The Conscious Universe, by Kafatos & Nadeau. But I thought others might be interested in it. It is a very succinct but clear introduction to the experimental verification of nonlocal quantum phenomena. Any time the author might be leaving his audience behind, he offers a handy link to fill in the details. It is a wonderful primer.
The nonlocal behavior he treats has been demonstrated beyond doubt by Alain Aspect in his experiments during the early eighties. What they show is that what Einstein called "spooky action at a distance" occurs. That is, physical phenomena are connected despite being seperate. In a way, this means that analysis, in the literal sense of understanding wholes in terms of parts, is inherently inadequate even for what we mistakenly call objective reality.
