Bob was born in 1942 in the city of Essex, in Stoddard County, MO.
He was also in the U.S. Navy. He served aboard the U.S.S Canberra as a Boiler Technician 2nd Class.
He enlisted Mar. 21, 1960 and was discharged Oct. 21, 1964.
In November of 1964 he married Sandra Diane Dockstader. They had three children together; William Robert Jr (Billy), Brian and Molly. Sandra died April 11, 1977.
On May 26, 1978 he married Katherine Anne Gladstone. Bob and Kathy later had a son and named him Paul. Kathy Goedert died May 15, 2004.
