William Elzmon Goedert

William was born Oct. 18, 1917 in the city of Greenbrier, in Bollinger County, MO. He married Florence Opal Purcell on Oct. 7, 1939 in Dexter, MO.
He served during World War II as a Fireman 2nd Class (Picture) in the U.S. Navy from July 6, 1945 to December 17, 1945.
After the war he was a mechanic by trade, and founded Goedert's Garage in East Lansing, MI, established Sept 1946.
He died January 26, 1982 in Lansing, MI, and burried in East Lawn Memory Gardens.
