Lillie Bell Jackson was born March 17, 1909 in Grandview, Texas to the parentage of Sadie and Ollie Jackson. At the age of 16, she married Elijah Richardson, Sr. a widower with four children: Marie, "Buddy", Winnie and Grover. On July 14, 1926, Lillie and Elijah were blessed with a son, Elijah Richardson, Jr., my father. Lillie Bell's second husband was a Mr. Woodruff, and her third husband, pictured below, was Ernest I. Higgins.
