About Us...
African Generations© (also known as afrigen), has been in the Family History/Genealogy business for quite a number of years. The company was founded by Sadie Allen, a professional mathematics instructor and research expert in the field of African-American genealogy. The company has created numerous calendars, family trees, scrapbooks and newsletters for several local area families and for family reunions on an annual basis.
Afrigen entered into the burgeoning web site creation market in 1996 with the creation of the Trimble Tech High School Gamma Beta Tau Step Club web site.
Later, the web site dedicated to the Matthews-Shaw Family was created in 1997. This ongoing project is located at www.matthews-shaw.org. The research for that site was organized by the efforts of other branches of that huge family.
Since that time, African Generations© has concentrated on research endeavors exclusively. Years of experience/expertise in interviewing techniques and in records research has brought African Generations© from being a part-time venture into a full-time full-service consultancy in the field of African-American Family History/Genealogy.
