You
will receive a copy of this contact with your final purchase along
with all AKC/CKC registration papers.
New
Owners Responsibilities
-
Dog
must be considered a part of the family and loved
unconditionally.
-
The
dog must stay indoors unless going for family outings and
potty times.
-
The
dog must never be left alone outside.
-
To
dog is to never be punished or abused, dogs have accidents,
its up to you to properly train your dog.
-
The
dog must not be crated/caged for extended long periods of time
or while you’re at home the dog may not be confined to one
room.
-
The
dog shall not remain in any vehicle in extreme heat, with
windows down, or unattended for any amount of time.
-
The
dog shall not be trained, encouraged, nor misrepresented for
the purpose of protection, aggression, or any aggravated
display of behavior.

The
dog is to have adequate nutritional food, water at all times.
-
You
are responsible for all vet exams while the dog is in your
care.

Take
the dog to a vet within 72 hours for health check up at your
cost, if at that point something is wrong with the dog, please
bring back documentation from the vet and I will have my vet
to give me a 2nd opinion.
If my vet says there are no problems, I will keep the
dog if you choose not to keep the dog but you will not receive
a refund. If the
puppy is not vet checked within 7 days of purchase date, this
contract is null and void.
Failure to provide the letter from the vet also voids
this contract.

There
is a 72 hour time frame that you get to take your pup to the
vet (no later than 7 days). If you are concerned with
genetic diseases (Renal Dysplasia, Hip Dysplasia), then when
you take them to the vet, have those tests ran. If the
dog is positive for a genetic disease (Renal Dysplasia, Hip
Dysplasia) then we will refund your full purchase price of the
pup but then you have to return the dog, with all AKC/CKC
paperwork unfilled out. If the paper work is filled out
your contract is void. You must also provide evidence of
the tests. And you must contact me and let me know you
have taken them to the vet within the 72 hours.

Umbilical hernias are a common issue with Shih Tzu breed and are
not a covered condition of the contract and can be repaired during
the spay/neuter procedure. *Pinched nostrils: Shih Tzu puppies
often have slightly pinched nostrils that generally open with
time. The bubbly discharge from a Shih Tzu puppy’s nose is NOT
serious if the discharge is clear and watery and the dog is
otherwise thriving. This problem is most acute during the teething
stage. Even the nostrils of a dog that has difficulty
simultaneously eating and breathing or is lethargic at this time
may open satisfactorily as the dog matures, but a few dogs this
severely affected may require surgery later on. The buyer is
responsible for all medical and diagnostic bills and will seek no
reimbursement from breeder/seller. No other guarantees are given.
The Seller will assume no responsibility if this puppy/dog
is given any over the counter non prescribed medication or other
of the Shih Tzu sensitive drugs and suffers an adverse reaction,
if the puppy/dog is abused, neglected, not cared for by a licensed
medical professional veterinarian or if ownership has changed
without consent of breeder/seller.
All paperwork must not have been filled out or sent in if
you return the dog in the first initial week after purchase and be
returned to the breeder/seller.

You
are required to keep up all vaccinations; wormings, flea
treatments/meds and at least one vet visit per year.

Under
no circumstances is this puppy to be sold, leased, or given
away to a Pet Store, Laboratory, Research Facility, or Animal
Shelter.

The
buyer is responsible for sending in all AKC/CKC paperwork
after purchase.

A
signed contract will be required before any pup will be
allowed to go to its new owners.
Breeders
Responsibilities
-
We
will always take our puppy back and attempt to place it in a
good approved responsible home if you find that you cannot
keep this puppy for any reason, buyer is not entitled to a
refund / replacement of any kind. A commitment for the life of
the dog should be made prior to purchasing it.

I
do not guarantee any size or color of the dog after it leaves
my home. All shih
tzu’s change color after certain periods of time, as well as
I cannot guarantee the size of any dog after it is full grown.

Refunds
and Deposits: There
will be no refunds for a buyer to change his/her mind. Deposits are non-refundable. Be sure you want your pup before sending or bringing in
the refund.

The
Breeder/Seller has the right to visit your home after the
settling in period to make sure the pup is being properly
cared for, if there is any doubt in proper care.
All
pups can be AKC/CKC registered, 100% loved and raised in my home with
lots of care and as much training as possible in the time period
that I have them. All
shots and wormings will be up to date as of the date you take your
puppy home.

Canin, Orijen, Barking at the Moon.
Make sure your food has no colors, by products or beet pulp
in it. It has been
said that beet pulp causes the face stains.
Shih Tzu’s have very sensitive stomachs and do not
tolerate colored food very well or table scraps, the occasional
fruit and veggies are ok.
