Mace was just one of a litter of two sired by the great Ch. Abby Rd's Here Comes The Sun out of Ch. Tallpine's Topaz.  He and his brother, Ch. Tallpine's Spellbound, were both sold to Jane Hill and Diane Bussey-Manning as young puppies.

Mace was Best in Futurity and Reserve Winners Dog at the 1996 National Specialty and was a regional Best In Specialty Show winner.  He was also a group winner, top 10 dog and National Specialty Award of Merit winner.  Mace is also a top producer of champions and working title holders as well as the sire of four Best in Show winners and specialty winners. 

Unfortunately, Mace was euthanized at age 9 due to suspected degenerative myelopathy.  No necropsy was performed to determine the exact cause.  Mace was OFA Good with Clear elbows and vWD clear.

Thanks to Diane and Jane for taking such good care of Mace and for helping him to become all he could be.  He has left a legacy in his children that will not soon be forgotten.
