Chaplains' Corner

The Police Chaplain:

  • Serves the Police Department and those whom they serve by providing pastoral ministry and support.
  • Advocates the well-being of the Police Officer as a whole; physically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually.
  • Advises the Police Department chain-of-command to promote a climate of excellence and integrity for those serving as guardians of the public trust.
  • Ensures the free exercise of religion.



Chaplain George Hall

I am pleased to be the Police Chaplain for the Bluff City Police Department.  I hope that my experience as a minister and as a counselor that I will be able to offer services to those that may need help that I come in contact with.  Not only the citizens that may be faced with traumatic events in their lives, but also the emergency personnel that face them also.

Rev. George Hall has been an ordained minister for 40 years. He has been the pastor of the Church of Jesus in Johnson City, TN for 37 years.  He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Steed College and has attended Liberty University for his Masters degree in Divinity and Counseling.

Chaplain Hall is a United States Air Force Veteran.  He has worked as a counselor for the State of Tennessee Correctional Division at the Carter County Work Camp.  He has also worked and retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Children’s Services where he was a Juvenile Justice Supervisor.
