Virginia Historical Tea Society
Cancer Awareness Event 2013

These are pictures from the Saturday, June 14, 2013 Cancer Awareness Tea.
This tea was the brainchild of Aurora and Deon.
It was a huge success and everyone had a wonderful time.
The Virginia Historical Tea Society, based in Virginia Beach, VA,
was honored to hold this tea for such a wonderful cause.
It seems that all of us have been affected by cancer in one way or another.
Deon and Aurora provided all the food and we raised $625.00.

We recently donated 15 wigs, 10 wig stands, 50 hats and
30 scarves to cancer patients in Virginia Beach.

Aurora is now working on crocheting and knitting projects for cancer patients
(hats and chemo afghans), hats for newborn babies in several hospitals, hat and scarves for Veterans, hats and scarves for the homeless,
fun hats for patients at King's Daughter's Children's Hospital, lapghans for nursing homes and hooded scarves for a handicapped facility.
Keeps her busy.  There are so many worthy causes.
If anyone has yarn to donate please contact Aurora at
