AN INSIGHT INTO STONES OF GOLD MINISTRIES
The early morning darkness had barely begun to be pushed away from the horizon as three downcast women picked their way through the country’s rough terrain. They left a trail of sweet smelling odors in the semi-darkness as they dodged rocks and stepped hastily over stones in their pathway. The dim light and stone-strewn path slowed their journey as they made their way to the gravesite of their friend, Jesus. They bore spices to anoint their deceased loved one whose tomb was sealed with a huge stone.
Their conversation centered on the concern of their hearts, “who will roll the stone away from the mouth of the tomb?”
Suddenly, as they rounded the last bend a bright light beaconed to them from the open tomb. Their first glimpse of the grave through the early dawn revealed the impossible! The stone was rolled away! Jesus had arisen from the dead!
Their most dreadful moment was converted into every conceivable joy! Their most challenging and dramatic hour had turned into moments of monumental triumph and victory! (See Mark 16)
That’s what Stones of Gold Ministries is about! It’s about overcoming obstacles and applying keys that will unlock our hearts to triumph and victory.
In her poem, Stones of Gold, Lydia Chorpeing has penned her own journey of trying to dodge rocks of trials to speed her on what she deemed to be her journey through life. When she was stopped in her steps by circumstances beyond her control, she was forced to examine her tests for what they were. As her tears washed over the rocks of fearful circumstances she found the rocks were filled with gold…the grace and deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance brought her to the place of availing herself to God’s grace and summing up her situation in the last lines of her poem:
“But now the stones that I despised have turned me to God’s grace
As I embrace my fiery trials I see His loving face.”
