Watermelon:
How to remove all the seeds
Here is a series of pictures that show how to easily remove all of the seeds from a watermelon. I know that seedless watermelons are popular now, but I have not found them to be as flavorful as the seeded kind. I came up with this way of removing the seeds and decided to post about it here, just for fun.
The process starts by cutting the watermelon in half and cutting a small slice off the end (so it will stand up on the cutting board)
Now comes the tricky part. Looking at the open face of the watermelon, you will see the swirls of seeds. Position the knife half way into the center of the watermelon, along one edge of a seed swirl, and cut straight down. Cut down along the other side of the swirl and removethe section.
The seeds should be nearly all on the surface.
Now, just scrape the seeds off, and cut out the next section.
Next, simply slice the section into bite sized bits.
Then cut these bits off right into a bowl.
This next picture shows how to align the knife with the seeds.
When your finished cutting out sections, you will be left with the heart.
Which can then be diced as shown here.
And then enjoy!
The information revolution rolls
on, don't let it roll over you :-)
