I am currently using a Zero Gravity tall screen that is a couple of inches taller than stock. This provides a bit more wind protection than stock and also generates a bit less turbulance around my helmet. The screen is available from Zero Gravity.
For a few thousand miles I had used a Ducati Performance low windscreen that is a couple of inches shorter than stock. I am 5' 11" tall and this windscreen significantly reduced the turbulence, and thus noise, around my helmet. With the stock windscreen and the ZG the turbulence is pretty bad at speeds above 60 mph. The drawback is a lot more wind hits my upper body. This was fine on short trips but on longer trips, especially at elevated speeds or on windy days, my arms and neck would tire from the wind blast. It's still a nice option and I plan to alternate between this for normal riding and the ZG for long trips.
A couple of the members of the ST2 mailing list have National Cycle Cheatta windscreens. These are about the same height as the ZG but are shaped a bit different on the upper edges. One guy tried both this and the ZG and said the Cheatta produces quite a bit less tubulance than the ZG. I'd like to try one some day but for now I'm happy enough with the ZG. The Cheatta is part number N3724, and National Cycle can be reached at 708-343-0400.
