Please do not take this corporate communication in the wrong fashion, my intention is to put the corporation on the path to success, and that means that we need to change some ways of doing business, and get a bit more organized. PATCH NEWS: The latest patch has significantly increased the power level of the pirates, as well as put them near the gates, ambushing unwary players. If you have read any EvE websites, you may already know that due to the tremendous complaints with pirate activity, and lower level characters (like us!) being trapped in low security areas, CCP has relaxed the pirate logic for a day, to allow escape from the low security areas. Then they will be increasing the pirate activity at the gates in a stepwise fashion over the next few days. HHI will be temporarily relocating to the safe haven of Mirilene system, where we already have an office. Please, take the opportunity to relocate any goods you need transported to Mirilene via Industrial ship into the corporate hanger at Basgerin, and I will move them tonight, May 13th. If you get this late, please contact me via ingame "Send Message" and let me know what you have left in Basgerin, and I will attempt to retrieve it as soon as possible, possibly with armed escort. This is no joke, we have already lost ships and gotten new acorn drivers due to this patch. Basgerin is just too hot at this time for our ability levels...high tail it to Mirilene after placing any goods into the corp hanger. Those of us with blueprints in factory slots at Basgerin, we need to pop those out ASAP so that we can withdraw from that location. Also, due to the value of the corp blueprints, I would like to get some escort during that particular run.
CORPORATE WALLET and SHARES: I have a concern with the current way the Corp has been operating as of late. Although we are getting good cooperation among members, we need to make some changes. I, and 3 or 4 others, have spent the last two nights mining Veldspar, Pyroxeres, and Plagioclase, which are very low value ores, to fund corporate operations and frigate building. As we plan to manufacture ships for the corporate members and for sales, we need to take a different approach to our current system. Speaking just for myself, I could have made in excess of 3 million isk, for personal skills, ships and other goodies, which I lost out on due to corporate activities; I could have been in the belts mining Bistot! Now, we all want to be able to work towards our own personal goals, as well as support corporate activities, so I am instituting a change to the Corporate way of handling these issues. Mining veldspar is not personally lucrative, and dropping it in the corp hanger basically nets the miners nothing, nor is it value enough to even earn a Corporate share. With the increase in pirate strength, the days of mining in low security are over for a while. To encourage corporate cooperation, and accomplishment of low level mining, skill and equipment pick up runs, and other corp activities, we will be paying folks in corporate shares, at the rate of 1 share every 30 minutes of work. Then, when the corporation sells manufactured items, the proceeds will go back into the corporate account. For members to get their share of the corporate profits, we will be instituting corporate dividends, on a regular basis. This cash will go to the members in the proportion of shares that they currently own. So, the members will be getting paid based on the amount of work, or cash that they put into the corporation. Shares will still be available for cash purchase to corp members.
The recent use of shares to raise cash for corporate blueprints was a great success, and many thanks to those of us who happened to be online last night, and able to purchase shares. That money raised went directly to the corporation wallet, and was used to buy an expensive blueprint. We will be doing more of this in the future. To ensure that the corporation continues to make cash based on the group efforts, members will need to purchase items from the corporattion, at reduced rates, instaed of just being given items and ships. I will post a webpage with the current corporation blueprints listed, and do some calculations to determine member cost for items. In addition, corporate funds donated to players for ship upgrades and other items will need to be considered "loadns" ythat need to be payed back. If not, our corporation will not be accumulating additional funds for large ticket purchases.
Please let me know what you all have donated for corporate blueprints. I know Apo, evandrake, fullauto and Darth, I believe, ponied up 700k each to get that Punisher blueprint. Can you guys verify the amount of money given for that print, as the corp would like to buy it off of you for shares? We want all the blueprints to be "corporate" property, so that the books will balance.
I will also be instituting some corporate votes, for all shareholders to respond to. These votes will determine the future goals of the corporation. the first vote will be on our next large print purchase: gallente cruiser, not sure what flavor. I think our immediate goal is to get the corporate members up into cruisers, or top of the line fighting frigates, to enable us to return to Basgerin, successfully stake out some asteroid belts for group mining of high end ore, and keep the pirates off the backs of the industrial ships and mining frigates. Additionally, with the cruiser print, we should be able to manufacture and sell gallente cruisers for some large profits. Please catch me online to discuss this initial course of action. I would like to get the voting started tonight.
Please continue to purchase corporate shares, at 100k each, when you have the cash or inclination. the corp needs the money. I suspect that with the increased pirate activity, cash flow will be rather reduced for all of us, so I intend that we gain more cash by selling frigates.
Corporate taxes should still be paid by those members that are actually making money via individual efforts. Please do your best to pay your taxes on a timely basis. Remember, money transfers are automatically taxed, while profits from refining sales and item sales are not.
If you decide to purchase corporate shares, you need to send the money directly to me, not to the corporation wallet. the wallet journal is bugged, and does not list all activity, so it is impossible to determine who has purchased what. Please send me the cash along with an INGAME message, the email type, so I have a record of it, saying that you have sent however much to purchase additional shares. As soon as I can, I will get the shares sent to you, but I really need the fallback of having a message I can look to, not just a mention in the corporate chat.
Roles: I pretty much have figured out the capabilites and limitations of the various roles that can be granted. Thank you to evan for taking 45 minutes or more last night to test out all the various grantable roles, and capabailities that come with that. Much appreciated. I will be updating all the corporation roles and titles tonight when I have a chance. If you feel that you need specific abilities, please let me know as soon as possible, and we can discuss it.
