Well, we must be doing something right as our Corporation has grown to near unmanageable proportions. In 11 days since release of Eve retail, we have swollen to over 20 members. Hopefully everyone is still having fun and enjoying the corporation and the game.
Due to our numbers, I am no longer able to try and coordinate activities for so many members. We need more organization and I have to delegate out some responsibilities to Corp members for us to continue to be successful, and grow. In order to do that, I have evaluated the things that I feel like I currently do, and what makes sense operationally for HHI. I am proposing the following set up for our corporation, at this time, and I am requesting that members comment on this proposed plan, with criticism or suggestions, so that we can implement it. If you are OK with this sort of structure, then I would request that you message me with your desired responsibility, or role.
Roles versus responsibility: All of us have our in-game roles, and we do not want to impact on that. We all have things that we like to do, whether mining, hunting, market work, research or manufacturing. Responsibilities will be diferent; these are thins that you will handle for HHI. We do not want to change the flexability and freedom that we enjoy in our time online, but we do want to be better organized, so that what the corp NEEDS is more clear. If you choose to pursue your own interests that night, our standard policy applies. You will be encouraged to do what makes you happy. However, if you want to put some time in towards HHI activities, we should have a better handle on what we, as a Corp, want to do, or need to do. A s always, no pressure, but for those of us on HHI duty that night, we will at least have a better plan, other than "Mine Rare ore", or "Mine base ore". Hopefully this will allow us to achieve our goals faster, by providing direction, and coordinating efforts. It will be imperative upon those folks that choose a responsibility to keep in mind that we do not REQUIRE anything from any member, but that we may request it. Big, crucial difference there in philosophy. Not eferybody is always going to want to participate in Corp activities.
OK, Responsibility positions-First draft:
CEO: Overall Corporate goals. Can fill in for any position. External contact for other corporations.
Manufacturing Manager-coordinates day to day operations of Manufacturers, ensuring efficient use of corporate blueprints and factory slots. Coordinates with R&D to ensure that blueprints are appropriately researched. Maintains the Production Schedule. Coordinates with Director of Mining Operations to ensure appropriate raw materials are present to meet production demands.
Internal Acquisitions- handles all internal corporate requests for platforms, equipment and devices, skills sets, and expendables. Works with Manufacturing manager and transportation Supervisor to fill requests.
R&D Supervisor-works with the manufacturing Manager to ensure blueprints are top quality and researched or copied efficiently. Ensures efficient use of research slots, and minimizes corporate manufacturing costs.
Chief of Security- Manages corporate security assets. Coordinates with Manufacturing Manager to ensure adequate supply of security expendables, security devices, and platforms. May recommend and acquire improved skill sets for Security pilots. Ensures that corporation assets are secured, including Fleet Operations. Assesses and evaluates threats to corporate assets, and makes recommendations to HHI senior management. May request transportation services to retrieve assets acquired in counter-corporate missions.
Director of Mining Operations-Coordinates and maximizes all corporate mining operations to meet requirements of Manufacturing Manager and production schedule, including mineral selection, mining areas, security details, and transportation assets. May request manufactured items from Mfg. Manager. May request security services dependant on situation. May request transport services as required.
Transportation Supervisor- responsible to coordinate available bulk freight assets and personnel. May request Security Services as applicable. May request equipment, skills and platforms as required to meet expectations of Mining Operations. Coordinates bulk freight deliveries of manufactured goods as needed.

If everybody could message me with their top three roles, in order, just so I can put some data together, that would be great. You can change them at any time, and they are non-binding, just trying to get an idea of what people like to do. Additional choices are also appreciated, if you have more than 3, or think of something else.
Let me know what your top three ROLE choices are, at a minimum. Please comment on Responsibility ideas, and volunteer yourself if you have interest. I can not do it alone. If we have several people who want the same job, we can take a look at some ways to decide.
