My apologies to all for the sudden HHI lockdown and any inconvenince it may have caused. We are making some big changes (for the better, IMO) and did not want to leave ourselves open to exploitation in case somebody got mad. If anybody is unhappy and wants to leave, please let me know, we will part paths comfortably. Any assets that are yours will be returned. I realize that this a decent sized change, but don't think that many will have issues with it. It will make our Corporation stronger. On to the bread and butter of it...
Basic Structure to Start: 1 CEO and 2 Directors, each with CEO powers. This is the Senior Management TEAM (SMT). We intend to limit access to the Corporation assets. These three people will have the only access to the Corporation wallet and hangers initially. We will only spend HHI monies on Corporation purchases that are agreed to by all three. This should provide direct, consistent focus on the Corporation goals.
Responsibilities:
Director of Manufacturing - ??????????
Coordinates day to day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient use of corporate blueprints and factory slots. Coordinates with R&D to ensure that HHI blueprints are appropriately researched and duplicated. Maintains the Production Schedule.
Director of Corporate Sales - ??????????
Coordinates and tracks day to day corporate sales, tracking weekly income from sales. Is responsible for sales both internally and externally.
Changes...
There will be no additional Corporate roles to start. Once a member has been with the Corporation for one month, they may petition to have additional responsibilities. These changes to the Corporate structure will be subject to a vote by all shareholders. Additionally, the petitioner must have equal or higher applicable skill sets than the member filling the role currently. If we have a factory manager, with Industry skill 4, then you will need Industry skill 4 or 5 to take on that role. If you want to be a Corporation Pilot, and fly a corporate cruiser, better buy lots of shares, to skew the voting in your favor, and better start building your pilot skills. ;-)
The great news is that there will be NO MORE TAXES! Yippee! Actually, we are going to replace the 10% tax rate with a daily tithe. Each player will be required to give the corporation 25k each day that they are on. This is like two OMBER refines. After your 25k daily tithe, the rest of your profits are yours. Those big Arkanor refines will be that much more lucrative...! 25k per day * 20 members * 7 days = 3.5 mil isk to the corp each week. that will get us going strong very quickly.
Each week there will be at least one to three Corporate mining expeditions, at predetermined or regular time slots. We expect that all members participate. This is the easiest way to earn corporate shares, and for the corporation to aqcuire bulk ores and minerals for production. To emphasize the cooperative, Corporation aspect of this function, shares will be given out to all members that partake. They will be cheaply earned here, meaning that those that participate will have more shares, meaning more dividends, and voting power. Otherwise, shares will be available for sale to HHI employees for 200,000 isk each. HHI requests that the corporation has the first opportunity to purchase shares back from members who are leaving the corporation. We want to maintain control of the corporate future.
Each week HHI will pay a dividend equal to 10% of all corporate sales for the previous week. That is why all sales will go through the Director of Corporate Sales, for ease in tracking, due to the improved personal wallet transactions that have been implemented in the recent patch. Corporation members will be able to purchase HHI produced items at mineral cost plus 15%. As always, if you can buy it cheaper on the market, please do. This will be your weekly paycheck from HHI. The more shares you own, the larger amount of the dividend payout you will recieve. This should make the Corporate mining expeditions more attractive, being the easiest way to acquire shares in HHI.
If beneficial to HHI, the corporation will buy blueprints and other items from members for shares. These corporate purchases will need to be agreed upon by all members of the SMT. Although not carved in stone, if the SMT decides to buy your print or item, it will be bought for shares at market value. It is anticipated that on occasion, maybe more often as the economy develops, the Corporation will issue buy orders for goods, minerals and other approved items.
Additional possibilities...
I have not had the chance to discuss these isssues with the other members of the SMT as of yet. Several concerns need to be addressed, including: Saturation of the market, resulting in low yields on ships and other large ticket items, as well as NPC mineral demand drying up; availability of high end ore, including the JGR corporation issue; strategic and immediate goals of the corporation; adoption of all these points in this document. Sunder has found a very nice location in Gerper...I would like to move us there, and claim that system for HHI. Will reveal more once I have a chance to chat more with Apo and Darth Aardler
Currently, I am planing on having myself, Apothesis, and Darth Aardler fill the 3 positions on the SMT. We feel that this will provide a large measure of SMT availability, as we all overlap in our typical EVE hours, but fill different time slots. Additionally, we have not discussed who would fill what role, and if we need or want a third role, at this time.
