        Shirley "Buzz Saw" Guest decided to move up in the charts tonight and took first place money with her 17 Pts. 7 W 114 Spread card. Dave "Da Boz" Bosley completed his bronze points with a second place finish with his 15 Pt. 7 W 86 Spread card. John "Rotten" Reed collected third place money and more points with a 13 Pt. 6 W 39 Spread card. Don "Curly" Russell went home with fourth place cash but no points with an 11 Pt. 5 W 49 Spread Card.

"Sweety" got back to her lazy ways this evening visiting only two different persons. She waited until game three when "Bad Betty" Morehouse called for her. She was content there until game seven when John "Rotten" Reed playing "Bad Betty" Morehouse calmly reached across the table to secure her and held on to her for the rest of the night to collect the $14.00 from the last 24 Hand Pot.

 

EVENT HAPPENINGS 

 

            Shirley "Buzz Saw" Guest took off on a mission tonight skunking Dick "The Grumbler" Taylor in her first game then won the next five skunking "Bad Betty" Morehouse also before losing a game. She came back to skunk "Farmer" Jim Harpe but lost her last game to complete a 17 Pt. 7 W 114 Spread Card for first place money.

 

              Dave "Da Boz" Bosley decided to work on his Bronze Award after being skunked in his first game by John "Rotten" Reed. He turned it around and won his next four skunking "Trooper" Tom Varnell then lost one before winning his last three to turn in a 15 Pt. 7 W 86 Spread Card to finish in second place and accumulate 1001 points tonight.

      

           John "Rotten" Reed got the curse of skunking his first opponent Dave "Da Boz" Bosley and promptly losing his next three games being skunked by "Saweet Johnny" Hensley in game four. But he turned it around winning his last five to finish with a 13 Pt 6 W 39 Spread Card to give him third place money tonight.

 

               Don "Curly" Russell had an off and on night winning at the start losing the next two then winning and losing one each. He was able to string together three more wins skunking Carl "The Wizard" Schaefer but lost his last game to complete an 11 Pt. 5W 49 Spread card for fourth place cash only tonight.

SPECIAL POOLS

 

                 "Bad Betty" Morehouse caught the 23 Hand and The Wheel was found in the hand of "Old # 1" Martin Hellberg which opens up all of the hands again for our next session.

 

 

     28/29 POOL

 

         One attempt reported tonight to drain the pool. "Saweet Johnny" Hensley held a J and three 5's for a possible 29 but only managed to cut an 8. The pool now stands at $338.00.

 

     Skunk Fund

 

             The skunk pot stamps were busier and the fund was more prosperous tonight. It received $2.50 by the end of the evening. WE STILL THANK ALL OF YOU!! !!
