“Old # 1” Martin Hellberg claimed the first
first place of this season this evening with his 18 Pt. 8 W 156 Spread card. Mike “Mr.
Quiznos” Clapper claimed second place this week with his 17 Pt. 7 W 129 Spread
card. Shirley "Buzz Saw" Guest collected third place money with
her 14 Pt. 6 W 125 Spread card. John "Rotten" Reed took
fourth place money and his first points of the season with his 13 Pt 6 W 17
Spread card. Two other players, “Saweet” Johnny Hensley and Helen “The Hellion”
Daniels also collected their first points of the season with their 12 Pt. cards

"Sweety" managed to get her exercise this first night of the season after relaxing all summer. She visited five different persons tonight starting with Shirley “Buzz Saw” Guest in her game three. Next came “Old # 1”Martin Hellberg in his game two and again in game five then to Pat “Driller” Jungmann in his game seven. Along came J.R.“The Spoiler” Cast snatched her away in his game seven and thought he had her to keep but “Saweet” Johnny Hensley snatched her away in his game eight and latched on to her to collect the 24 Hand Pot.
EVENT HAPPENINGS
“Old # 1” Martin Hellberg started off the night by winning his first seven games in a row skunking John “Rotten” Reed and new member Susan Hill before losing to “Farmer” Jim Harpe in game eight then winning his last game to complete his 18 Pt. 8 W 156 Spread Card for first place money.
Mike “Mr. Quiznos” Clapper had a good night also skunking new member Susan Hill, “Saweet” Johnny Hensley and Helen “The Hellion” Daniels and stringing together three wins twice to complete his 17 Pt. 7 W 129 Spread Card for second place.
Shirley “Buzz Saw” Guest bounced back and forth all night unable to put more than two wins together at a time before winning her last one to complete her 14 Pt. 6 W 125 Spread Card for third place money.
John “Rotten” Reed was unable to put together any kind of a winning streak but managed to skunk “Farmer” Jim Harpe to collect fourth place money with a 13 Pt 6 W 17 Spread card.

SPECIAL POOLS
No special hands were found tonight as they are all available at the start of this season

Several persons tried to drain the pool
tonight, some of them more than once. Old
# 1” Martin Hellberg tried twice, both times with J’s and three 5’s cutting
a 10 first then a 7 next for no help. Next was Pat “Driller” Jungmann who had three 5’s with a K and a J cutting a 6 and a 7. Zeke “Da Zappa” tried
also with a J and three 5’s coming up with a lonely A. Last was Dave
“Da Boz” Bosley with a 10 and three 5’s
catching only a 9 for no help
either. The pool is capped at $511.00.
Skunk Fund
The skunk fund was a little prosperous
tonight. It received $2.00 by
the end of the evening. WE STILL THANK
