Ms. Sweety didn't hardly need to show up tonight!  She had a pretty uneventful night only seeing two players.  John "Saweet" Hensley called for Ms. Sweety in Game 3 while playing "Easy" Ed Baustian.  It took until Game 7 for Ms. Sweety to get tired of John's company and make her way to Martin "Ole #1" Hellberg.  Martin held onto a 24 while playing Jim "Teacher" Duff.  For Martin's skill cards he earned $18 at the end of the evening.

EVENT HAPPENINGS

First
was "Lethal" Lisa Duff who turned in a 16 Gm Pt, 8 W, +74 Sprd Pts card tonight.  Lisa was on fire all night with the exception of the 8th game.  She won her games by an average of 11 points per win.  Her only defeat came by the hand of Mike "Mr. Quizno's" Clapper in a close Game 8.  Good job Lisa!

Second was Shirley "Buzz Saw" Guest who turned in a 16 Gm Pt, 7 W, +90 Sprd Pts card.  Shirley got off to a rocky start when she lost the opening game to Helen "The Hellion" Daniels.  She turned things around by winning three straight including a skunk over John "Rotten" Reed in Game 3.  She then came up against "Bad" Betty Morehouse who breezed on to a win in Game 4.  Shirley found her groove and won the final four games of the night including a skunk over Wayne "Super Trooper" Von Clasen in Game 7.  Good job Shirley!

Third was David "Da Boz" Bosley who turned in a 15 Gm Pt, 6 W, +69 Sprd Pts card.  David started off  just about as hot of start as possibly by skunking his first two opponents.  He went on to win the next two games to sit at 10 points after 4 games.  The cribbage gods decided to mess with David by only allowing him to win 2 of the final 5 games...the last game of the night was a 31 points skunk....against Mike "Mr. Quizno's" Clapper for David to solidify 3rd Place.  Good job David!

Fourth was Jo Sine who turned in a 1 Gm Pt, 6 W, +60 Sprd Pts card.  Jo stumbled out of the starters box by winning 1 of the opening 3 games.  Both of the losses were to Lisa (1st) and David (3rd).  Persistence pays off most of the time....she stuck it out and won 5 of the last 6 games to wind up with the highest spread point for all 12 game point cards (4 total).  Good job Jo, it was fun to visit with you!

Fifth was Pat "Driller" Jungmann who turned in a 12 Gm Pt, 6 W, +42 Sprd Pts card.  Pat was full of stories tonight.....I think it was because he won $5 from Helen last week???  Pat started the evening with 3 wins including a close 3 point victory over "Trooper" Tom Varnell.  Pat then went on a roller coaster ride for the rest of the night.  He lost every other game.  Most importantly Pat won the last game of the night to end up with 12 game points.  He beat Martin "Ole #1" Hellberg by 30 points.  One more point and Pat would have ended up in 4th Place.

HONORABLE MENTION

Seven Peggers wound up scoring grass roots club points tonight.  In addition to the top 5 positions, Mike "Mr. Quizno's" Clapper and Helen "The Hellion" Daniels scored 12 points each.
