Ms. Sweety had a slow night other than Game 3....she started out by heading in Martin "Ole#3" Hellberg's direction in Game 3. The 24 was not enough for Martin to win the game, Helen "The Hellion" Daniels beat Martin by 4 points! Ms. Sweety must not have liked Martin's company and immediately went to "Bad" Betty Morehouse at the end of Game 3. Ms. Sweety stayed put for a few games until John "Saweet" Hensley scored a 24 in Game 7 against....Betty. Ms. Sweety simply crossed the table to her new owner and spent the rest of the evening with John. For his efforts he took home $14 at the end of the evening.
EVENT HAPPENINGS
First was
Helen "The Hellion" Daniels who turned in a 15 Gm Pt, 7 W, +93 Sprd Pts card
tonight. Helen was hot tonight....she started off the night with a first
game skunk! She went on to win her next two games until she came up
against Carl "The Wizard" Schaefer. Carl squeaked out the win by 4
points. Helen went on to win the next 4 straight games. She had 15
points and one game to go.....to bad it was against Shirley "Buzz Saw" Guest
who walked away with the win. None the less, Helen held onto 1st place.
Good job Helen!
Second was Jim "Teacher" Duff who turned in a 14 Gm Pt, 7 W, +109 Sprd Pts card. Jim won the first two games of the night by 3 points each! He lost the next game to John "Saweet" Hensley by 11 points. Jim turned things around by winning 4 straight games. Jim came up against John "Rotten" Reed who skunked Jim in Game 8. Jim turned on the heat in the last game of the night an coasted to a 24 point win and slipped into 2nd Place. Good job Jim!
Third was John "Saweet" Hensley
who
turned in a 12 Gm Pt, 6 W, +30 Sprd Pts card. John started off hot but
cooled off down the stretch. He won the first four games of the night but
then things got a little bumpy. He lost two straight in Games 5 & 6.
He got a 24 in Game 7 to beat "Bad" Betty Morehouse by 23.
Fourth was Shirley "Buzz Saw" Guest
who
turned in a 12 Gm Pt, 6 W, +2 Sprd Pts card.
Shirley started off rocky but turned things around
to finish strong. She lost her first game to start the night but won the
next two. Thinking the worst of it was behind her, Shirley lost two
straight in Games 4 & 5. That's when Shirley decided enough was enough and
went on to win the last 4 games of the night. Good job Shirley!
