Ms. Sweety felt like she needed to move around tonight after moving only 4 times last week. She started out by heading Pat “Driller” Jungmann’s direction in the 1st game and helped him skunk his opponent. Martin “Ole #1” Hellberg counted a unusual 24 in the 2nd game by having four 3’s and a 9……in the crib! “Easy” Ed Baustian held onto a 24 in the 3rd game of the night and helped him get a 4 point victory! Zeke “Da Zapa” Blocklinger let Ed hang onto Ms. Sweety for a few games before declaring a 24 in the 6th game. David “Da Boz” Bosley didn’t show any courtesy when he counted a 24 later in the 6th game….karma didn’t let him win the game either. What is better than one 24……two 24’s. David counted his next 24 in the 7th game and he also won that game. David took home $16 for his skill cards at the end of the night!
EVENT HAPPENINGS
First was Pat “Driller” Jungmann who turned in a
16 Gm Pt, 7 W, +86 Sprd Pts card tonight.
Pat pegged his way to a great start by winning the first 6 games of the night
including a 2 point victory over John “Rotten” Reed in the 6th
game. As a part of the fast start, he
recorded skunk over Mike “Mr Quizno’s” Clapper in the first game of the
night. Pat slowed down a bit in the
last three games and only won the middle game.
The good news is that the win was a skunk….good job Pat, keep up the
good peggin!
Second was Martin “Ole #1” Hellberg who
turned in a 13 Gm Pt, 6 W, +56 Sprd Pts card. Martin also started the night
off with a skunk over Zeke “Da Zapa” Blocklinger. He went on to win a couple more in a row but
lost Games 4 & 5 on the night. He
thought he had turned things around by winning the 6th game to be
disappointed by David “Da Boz” Bosley who out pegged Martin for the
victory in Game 7. With 4 wins and 3
losses going into the last two games of the night, Martin turned his cribbage
skills up a notch and beat his last two opponents by 4 points and 1 point
respectively. Good job Martin!
Third was Jo Sine who turned in
a 12 Gm Pt, 6 W, +53 Sprd Pts card. Jo
got off to a rocky start….she lost her first 3 games including a first game
loss to David “Da Boz” Bosley by 1 point! Losing all hope going into Game 4 with 3 losses she put together
a 6 game win streak to slide into 3rd Place. Her average win margin in those 6 games was
16 points! Good job Jo!
Fourth was Wayne “Super Trooper” Von Clasen who turned in a 12 Gm Pt, 6 W,
+45 Sprd Pts card. Wayne was edged out of 3rd place by 8 spread
points! He 6 wins on the night
including a near skunk over Martin “Ole #1” Hellberg in the 5th
game. Three of his victories were by 5
points or less and two of his losses were by 5 points or less. Good job Wayne!
HONORABLE MENTION
Dick “The Grumbler” Taylor nearly recorded a string of pearls. Several members have been close this
year….. His only win came against Mike
“Mr. Quizno’s” Clapper in Game 2.
He went on a 7 game slide to end the night.

SPECIAL POOLS
Wayne “Super Trooper” Von
Clasen counted a 23 hand in Game 5.
For his efforts, he received $10.
Raggedy Ann and the Wheel remain open.
28/29 POOL
Wayne “Super
Trooper” Von Clasen had a chance at a 28 in Game 8. The 28/29 pool
started at $398 and went up by $16 to $414.
SKUNK FUND
The skunk fund
received $3.25 at the end of the evening, WE THANK ALL OF YOU!!
Everyone likes to throw 5s in their cribs, especially your opponents, but the truth is
that it's rare that he/she can afford to pitch a 5.
The 5 usually goes with more than one of
his/her other cards. Thus, it's a good idea to give your opponent A-9, 2-8
or 3-7 and, yes, you can even get away
with 4-6 most of the time; although I
don't recommend it to those with weak hearts.
DIRECTOR’S NOTE
Jim “Teacher” Duff was the head judge tonight, thanks for your help. 14 weeks down, 22 to go.....
